Southbound Mule pulls its music from the broad spectrum of traditional music - from old-timey to newgrass - but we focus mostly on the old standards and the best of the new favorites. We use lots of two- and three-part harmonies, and even the odd five-part, just to keep things dangerous.

We've put together a NEW CD to help us book some gigs and raise gas money for the Mule Train (Joe's afraid of those fancy automobiles, so we have our own fancy Pullman car to take us where we need to be. If your town doesn't have a train depot, first-class plane tickets will be accepted).

"Southbound Mule: Live from the Barn" - which was recorded live from Darrel's living room, which has a certain barn-like ambience, but with much nicer furniture, big-screen TV, and carpet instead of hay.

Below is a sample play list from a typical 2-hour set. We've got many more songs under our collective and expanding belts, and we can take requests. "Get off the stage, you hacks!" does not count as a request.
